An auspicious Diwali

It's Diwali today, which for Hindus is celebrated a bit like Xmas and Bonfire night rolled into one.
Had a great dinner last night on the roof restaurant of the hotel with our tour host/arranger Paddy and several other guests and assorted relatives. Looking forward to a Diwali party with fireworks there tonight.
After breakfast on the roof, we resumed tour of Dehli today starting at the Humayun's Tomb, aka the mini Taj Mahal

Next up was the Qutab Minar

And last the newish Lotus Temple

Got back to hotel just in time for the first (of many) massages, before popping around the corner to Dominos Pizza for a late lunch- very exotic!

Diwali fireworks - they went on for hours ( unlike Sue's sparkler ).

Location:Divya Marg,New Delhi,India

  1. Don't think we saw the Lotus Temple - looks extremely interesting. Weather here is foggy and damp. You're not missing much. Garry
